The swedes seem to love their Golfs!
Also, you should see those Citroën C2's on tarmac. They trully are pocket rockets !

Cheap and plenty of parts/tuning access is my guess. And you can always find some guy who knows how to fix anything that can happend to one blind pretty much...

I’d rally the hell out of one of these. I figure it can move fast enough with the 5speed and V6. Plus it should be able to take a beating.

Wouldn’t be surprised. It’s interesting to see the difference with what are the most common rally cars around here (France). Unsurprisingly they all are French, the Saxo and 106 twins are now trusting the younger crowd, as well as the C2. The Clio R3 is kind of trusting the spot when it comes to R3 class and similarly powered vehicles.
